Elizabeth Collins

Elizabeth Collins

I was born in Nashville where my mom and dad worked at the Cracker Barrel to the stars! Meeting celebrities such as June Carter Cash and Conway Twitty. We moved all over the US from West Virginia to Connecticut and somewhere around South Carolina my dad decided he couldn’t pretend to be straight anymore. My parents divorced and my mother kidnapped my brother and I and moved us to Texas. Later my father and his partner moved to Texas to be closer and I lived with them throughout high school.

To cope with all this, I have started a career as a comedian and writer. I have a one person show called, “Raised By Gays and Turned Out OK!” That premiered in Los Angeles June 2015 and has since been to Houston and San Francisco. I have performed standup all over the US and even Paris one time. I have published a few things on Salon, Marie Claire, HelloGiggles and Narratively.
